Our Menus are created with assistance from Nutrition Australia twice a year.
The menus we use are licenced under an agreement with Nutrition Australia and are not for publication but they can be seen in each of the services we operate clearly displayed in the rooms and in the foyer.
We work closely with families of children who have allergies and intolerances, to make sure that they have balanced, interesting and nutritious food every day.
In addition to any bottles and formula provided by you, all of your child’s food and drink is provided by the centre. All children are provided with nutritiously balanced meals, with a focus on fresh, healthy foods. Mealtimes are considered a time for rich conversation as we gather together in small groups as a community.
In the Long Day Care services we provide Breakfast up until 8:00 am, then throughout the day, we provide Morning Tea, Lunch, Afternoon Tea and Late snack. All food provided is prepared and cooked fresh daily in our kitchens.
We provide a quiet feeding place if needed in the Infants Room for breastfeeding families.
We purchase our supplies from local traders so we are supporting the communities in which we operate.
Allergies and Intolerances
Families do not need to bring special food for children with food intolerances or allergies unless the food required is difficult to source. When you enrol your child, we ask for details of any allergies.
All of our recipes have lactose, egg and gluten-free alternatives- other allergies will need to be discussed with us so we can ensure that we are providing nutritious, balanced meals for all children in our care.
All of our services are no nut and no fish. This is because we have children and staff who have Anaphylactic reactions to these foods.
Our Food Policy excludes any food being brought into the centre. The only exception is for infants who may be on formula or breast milk. Parents are asked to supply this in labelled bottles.
