Ferguson Street Kindergarten and Early Learning Centre is the newest service operated by Kekeco Childcare Pty. Ltd.
Kekeco Childcare are local operators who have provided education and care to the families in the Mitchell Shire since 2007.
Kekeco expanded their service to Broadford by acquiring and taking over Paisley Park business in January 2020. Kekeco recognised that there was a need for high-quality education and care to this neighbouring town and the families who lived there.
Structurally, Ferguson Street has a very spacious and calm feel about the building as the rooms and yards are large and airy with lots of natural light.
We strive to provide high quality education and care. Our educators prioritse the children’s needs and they are committed to providing a path to draw out and develop the potential of each child in our care.
Kekeco Childcare acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands on which our services operate and on which we gather. We acknowledge and pay our respects to the Wurrunjuri and Taungurung peoples and their Elders past and present and emerging. We acknowledge and are grateful for our ability to share this land.
We deliver and demonstrate high quality, responsive programs for children through:
- Structured education and care programs
- Integrated and sessional kindergarten programs
- A large shared outdoor play space with many natural and sustainable features
- A flexible indoor/outdoor program
- Programs developed through a strength/interest-based approach.
- We view all children as capable, competent co-contributors and acknowledge them as active participants in learning
- Our Kindergarten Teachers provide programs for 3 and 4-year-old kindergarten.
- Separate outdoor areas for Infants, Toddlers and the Kinder
- We use the- OWNA App for parent communication.
- Use of the Qikkids Kiosk for an electronic sign in and out each day.
- Coded Mobile Blue Tooth Front Door lock to ensure only people on family lists are able to enter the service.QW
