Even if you don't meet the Child Care Subsidy Activity Test Requirements, you may still be able to access subsidised child care according to the Department of Human Services.
To get Child Care Subsidy (CCS) you must:
From 5 January 2026, all eligible families will get at least 72 hours of subsidised care per fortnight. You may get up to 100 hours if you do more than 48 hours of recognised participation, care for an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander child, or meet exemption criteria.
